Project Gutenberg is one of the best online repositories of free book texts.

Computer monitors that shine light are painful to read with, an e-ink screen is much more natural, as I've heard. Everybody can contribute to the Project Gutenberg. It is open to all and it is easy to join. At present the collection is not a very exhaustive yet, it's far from complete. One more reason to help out for the benefit of future generations. Still, there are many books that one can not find easily even for money. :-( But it has less than 100 thousand books. That is about 1 percent of all the books in the world. I think if I want to read some good book that I like, I will probably pay for it, instead of betting for a 1% chance that I can get it for free. I think one can find many free *real* books. There are a few websites that help people exchange or give away stuff. FreeCycle is one of the best ones. [1] I prefer reading text in real books than on the monitor. Maybe I am old fashioned... I don't know. [2] Project Gutenberg is one of the best online repositories of free book texts.
