Religion has been bent out of proportion that greed is what rules that system at this point and whilst I do think there are higher entities out there it doesn't require all of the constant prayer, sacrifice and conformity bullshit that common religion imposes on its followers. As is Good and evil are just perspectives made by others so they can simplify people.
They say man is made in the Image of god and as a result of this pride man is more willing to leave hell on earth. I believe 'religion' is the opposite of what is suggested above. Religion might have been 'created' to not have power hungry people who wants control over other people to have such Authority over other people. You have spoken well ye who thinks he/she has some sense. Note that seeing things in black and white is a very religious (not all religions) perspective. The concept of duality comes from some of the earliest religions. Divide and conquer is the technique and is still used to great extreme and effect today. You have been terribly mislead, anonymous internet user. Religion has never been about exercising control. Have you ever heard of Siddhartha Gautama amassing an army? What about Daoists creating a secret evil empire? Or Jesus using armed guards to enforce unjust laws upon conquered & enslaved populations? P.S. It was Pope Innocent III who started that whole Crusades fiasco, and is NOT part of Christian beliefs. finally, someone with some common goddamn sense I think I have some sense. I also think there may have been some sincere guy in the past who wrote some 'how to' life guide for people to live happy lives. I don't think that he wanted power or control over people. There are also those that you describe. As in most things in life, nothing is black or white, there are shades of grey, or to be more precise, full spectrum of colors in between (and even to eye invisible infrared).Search the truth. Ask questions. Are religious people good or evil? Can we be sure that there is a god? Have you actually heard the voice of your god? The mayan high priests sacrificed humans to please the sun god. It was a power tool. If it rained or in some other way was bad weather - then they could just tell people that the sun god was angry and needed a sacrifice. If the sun didnt show right away then they could just sacrifice more human beings. Christianity and Islam didnt exist back then.Religion is ridiculous. Anyone with some sence can see that all the religions in this world have been created by power hungry people who wants to control other people.
