Is it ethical to complain?

Addressing what is wrong (which I'm guessing is what you meant by "complain") is a very important part of progress. It's unethical to prevent someone complaining. Of course it is ethical to complain. Everyone that see's a doctor will complain. It'll be unethical for a doctor to disregard that. If anyone feels uncomfortable in a scientific experiment. They can complain. They have the right to withdraw. If anyone is treated unjustly e.g. in the work place. They have a right to complain. It would be unethical to prevent it. Other examples can be down to racial discrimination, victims of crime, the elderly etc Easier said than done. Is it ethical to complain, or not to complain? Do everything without complaining or arguing. Why is usefulness related to ethics? It is only ethical to complain if it will cause more happiness in the end. To complain about some things, like sickness, or not having enough money, is a waste of breath, because by complaining you aren't making it better. But if you are complaining to a company about a service flaw, that can be very useful, because it addresses the problem, and less people in the future must deal with it. Sure. It is even more ethical to do something about the object of complaint. Yes. It is ethical to complain, but certain complaints are more "valid" than others. If you're a rich fuck who complains about how hard life is, chances are you're a fucking crybaby. If you're a poor kid living in a slum and have the same thoughts, chances are it's valid to some extent. It varies depending on the situation, but I don't see how complaints would be unethical in the slightest. Is it ethical to complain?
