Is censorship sometimes justified?

No. Is it too much to ask that parents simply keep their kids away from the freaking TV when they are watching shows that would be censored? Seriously, it's not that hard. Even if you have to leave them alone, you can set up parental controls on the TV remote. It all depends who is doing the censorship. "Judge not least ye too be judged." Was a very clever way of saying who has enough knowledge of right and wrong or good and bad to make the correct judgements? Corruption is fundamental to the our lower human nature. Negativity, selfishness and greed are ultimately self destructive. Well, some are not so obvious. C'mon, there's the big issue with Wikileaks. Are some of the information it releases meant to be hidden in a secret archive or released to the public? hi you are who? Information is the currency of democracy. [1] Is a state meant to disclose where its secret weapons facilities are? What its nuclear codes are? Answer seems obvious. The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is... If an opinion is right, people are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of the truth, produced by its collision with error. [2] Censorship is different for various types of information censored: moral (sexual content); military (intelligence info); political (state secrets); religious; corporate; meta censorship (censoring info about censorship; self-censorship (out of fear or the sensibilities of others); cultural/historical (school textbooks).

Some forms of censorship listed above seem to have justification. Is censorship sometimes justified?
Is democracy the best form of government?
