All our ideas come from sense experience which they copy.

There is an argument that the unicorn is composed of the horn and the horse, which were already existing categories. However, hypothetically, if half of reality is imaginary or a fantasy, then half of all created categories produce things which are not a direct result of senses. So it may be ambiguous whether senses are the true origin of some ideas---it may be that they are just required to acquire them. Dreams are a mixture of pure and distorted sensory experiences. Some ideas can result from sensory experience. Calculus is by no means intuitive. You are speaking of ideas that are a result from purely purities or distortions of sense experience alone, excluding intuitive rational thinking to further an idea. Hmm, what about dreams? What about fantasy paintings, science fiction novels, works of music, mathematical truths? Are they simply a combination of past experiences, or qualitatively new ideas? All our ideas come from sense experience which they copy.
