Gambling should be banned.

Honestly, don't provide for them, by aiding them, you give them reason to not try more for themselves. If they aren't self sufficient, and you help them, they are going to continue being a parasite. And honestly, who says all gamblers are poor, some walk out richer then when they walked out. I agree, most gambling, at casinos, are by those who have little else to support themselves with, and are trying their luck to earn themselves more money. Its not a bad thing, nor is it a good thing. It is the state which will deal with the consequences of ruined gamblers, not casinos. State and all its citizens and taxpayers will have to provide financial aid to poor people, regardless of the cause of their poverty. Isn't it better to prevent this from happening, and instead of having a poor person still have a person who contributes to a society in a constructive manner? Why would the state impose on grown-ups what they can or cannot do which doesn't harm the others. If they want to lose all their money, let them. Ban need not be applied to children or private parties, but only corporations that promote gambling as a business and help poor people get poorer. I think banning gambling is unrealistic. Even children practice gambling, they bet in an ice-cream if one will be faster then the other.

Criminalizing all these diverse 'gambling' activities would have serious negative consequences - it would impose fines on already poor population, and would fill prisons with people who are not really criminals. Gambling should be banned.
