Being a Leader, Not Simply a Manager
What makes a good leader? To be a manager you also have to be a leader. Leadership is one of the 'functions' that management comprises of. Others are organizing, planning, etc.I recently read the book "Get Out of the Way" by Brad Fregger, in which he describes the need for an Effective Leader over the Traditional Manager, and provides a framework for implementation in ones own personal experience. I suddenly found that alot of the practices I used were of a manager and not a leader. He discusses leadership in the link provided. What do you think?
