this is jesus christ. stop the violence islam. your religion is a dead end street anyway. only christians end up with the earth because they worship both my father and i.The goal of the Abrahamic religions is ultimately peace on earth, but that goal will only be achieved through violence.A big part of Islam is about interpretation and context. There are some versus that propose really violent actions however other parts do say that you should adapt with society as it changes. Islam was introduced at a time when Arabia was in real bad shape so a lot of what is says cannot and should not be directly applied to today's society. In a few places Koran mentions conditions under which people can be bitten, women raped, etc. [1][2]It's not even "many" Muslims who interpret the Qu'ran to the extreme ends that have resulted in the terrorist attacks on London and New York and countless other cities in recent years. It's a few people who believe that their God is telling them through His holy Word that they will go to heaven for killing these people.No, Islam is not violent. It is just that many of the people who follow Islam are misguided to the truth about Islam. It is unfortunate because it is on a global scale as well. Islam is about loving Allah, your family, yourself, and everyone else around you. It teaches you to be strong in the face of your adversary as will as forgiving them, and be forgiven. It is about making family and friends with your enemies, and peace. Almost on the same concept of Christianity. Though it has been misused Sure the hell seems it :(. Christians once were very violent too though. Murder is not the only type of violence. It also demands stoning when a woman conducts adultery. In the Sahih Bukhari stoning is mandated by Mohammed at least 34 times. [3] God does not forbid you, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loves those who are just. Or is it? What does Qur'an consider a 'horrendous crime'? We cannot judge the meaning of previous verses if we do not understand the meaning of its parts, and assumptions they make. What are horrendous crimes in Islam? Similar to Talmud, Qur'an verses speak:

... Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing.

Therefore, Qur'an writes against violence. All of the verses that speak about fighting/war in the Qur'an are in the context of self defence. The Qur'an equates the murder of one innocent person with the murder of the whole of humanity. Is Islam a violent religion?
