Machines and computers dehumanize learning.

Exactly. No need to learn. Grab the stupidphone and cheat on your exams. The stupidphone is used ere. It has taken pics and listened to you even in your own house/bedroom. Imagine a kid at fakebook/yahoo/google rubbing themselves watching you with your wife. Tape on the cameras and mic? Heck yes![1]It can be said that computers have actually helped with learning, but it is actually access to information that has been enhanced. IMO machines like smart phones and the internet have spawned an entire generation of people with little concept of privacy and therefore little ability to experience intimacy and/or solitude. This could be considered dehumanizing. Although computer cannot be as empathic as a teacher, web can provide you an instant access to all information relevant to your interests. You are not being forced by teacher to learn standardized knowledge, but instead can choose your own learning path determined by your personal curiosity. As a matter of fact, it’s just the reverse. It seems to me that, through this machine, for the first time we’ll be able to have a one-to-one relationship between information source and information consumer.
