Magnetic bracelets, do they work?

I have tried many alternative methods for health and easing pain,,or improving life. And Ive found certain vitamins and minerals do help health, but I have also found that magnets do as well. Just a personal opinion there, maybe like all things, some works for some and then not others. Well, if it works, than it has some effect on our bodies. If it has effect, it may as well have a side effect (negative effect). In conclusion, it probably could hurt as well. So if I try it, and experience some negative change, I should stop using it -- or these negative changes *might* become more permanent. I know one surgeon who carries a 'power balance' bracelet with holographic technology which works with your body’s natural energy field. He is extremely skeptical about complementary and alternative medicine, but sais that this thing works. I'll give it a try -- probably can't hurt! [1] I think they may be scientifically sound. It is well known that a number living organisms, from bacteria to animals, are sensitive to magnetic field. It would only make sense that our bodies have some sensitivity to it as well.
