Is eating meat ethical?

Exactly this! I have no beef with cows (pun intended) but we live in a world where animals eat animals, and it seems more disruptive to fight that than to just learn to treat meat animals wellI think a better question is: how much are animal lives worth? For as long as man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings, he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seeds of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love. [1] Industrial farming has become the primary source of meat. Because industrial farming is cruel, inhumane (and inanimal), unhealthy (for both animals and their consumers - us humans), environmentally damaging, the only way to not contribute to it is by not supporting it with my money. I personally have no problem with eating meat from small farmers that take care of animals in old fashioned way. However, I do have great difficulty with supporting this pathological corporate madness. [2] I had stuck to my resolution of not eating animal food, seeing killing fish as a kind of unprovoked murder, since none of them had, or ever could do us any injury that might justify the slaughter. But [when they came out] the frying-pan, it smelt admirably well. I balanced some time between principle and inclination, till I recollected that, when the fish were opened, I saw smaller fish taken out of their stomachs; then thought "If you eat one another, I don't see why we mayn't eat you."[3]Is eating meat ethical?
Can a vegan diet be healthy?
