Your instincts will kick in when you have reached the lowest of lows and fighting for survival. Instincts cannot be found.I think I have touch with my instincts. How do I find them? Trust your instincts.
What is an instinct?
Evolution doesn't work that quickly though, if our instincts are that old, so is the brain. Instincts are so old, atleast a few 100 thousand. Why not take advantage of our new highly developed brains. We often do not know what is right, but we always know what is wrong. Your intuition tells you when you are on wrong ways.
