A Cult is a relatively new Religious group which is lead by a charismatic leader "Cult" refers to religious practice, so technically, all religions are cults. Religion vs faith is the real discussion point:-) I don't think cults are much stranger than religions. The thing is we are just used to religions as they are more common and more practiced. Religious beliefs are as strange as those of various cults. Cults vs religion.
